Crisis Intervention Services:
Globe Risk International Inc. (GRI) operates internationally and is responsive to its client’s urgent needs and requirements. With offices in Kabul, UAE and Kandahar and headquarters in Toronto, Canada GRI is uniquely positioned to quickly respond to clients crisis management needs.
During the critical decision making process involved during a security event and particularly during a hostage taking, we can be relied upon to provide you with clear analysis of YOUR options.
Individual Expertise The senior management team and consultants of GRI bring world-class expertise in hostage rescue, counter terrorist operations and planning, corporate crisis management, security planning, specialized training, intelligence gathering and threat, risk, vulnerability assessment, analysis and crisis negotiations.
Organizational Expertise GRI presently, provides a myriad of international security services to a large number of international clients, of which many are operating in hostile environments. We formulate, write, and rehearse (and on occasion implement) corporate security plans, kidnap/ransom policies and procedures germane to a client’s area of operations.
During the development of a security or emergency event GRI can provide the following services:
Evacuation Planning. GRI will develop the necessary planning processes to effectively evacuate client personnel from an immediate hostile environment. As a last resort, GRI will affect measures to secure the safety of client personnel wherever they are located.
24/7 Emergency - Security - Medical and Evacuation Response Centre. GRI can provide a client with full access to a 24/7 operations centre located in Toronto. This call centre has a multilingual capability of over thirteen (13) different languages and can provide additional languages through contracted service agreements.
In the Event of a Kidnapping Incident - Determine the Hostage(s)’ Status. GRI will overtly or covertly if necessary, act to obtain the most accurate intelligence on the physical condition and location of the hostage(s). This will ideally include some measure of identity confirmation (through imagery or reconnaissance reports) to confirm that the kidnappers do in fact have who they think they have and that the hostage(s) are alive.
In the Event of a Kidnapping Incident - Determine the Identity of the Kidnappers. Many situations are critically or disastrously delayed and worsened because the parent company is negotiating with a ‘pretender’ faction who claims that they have the hostage. GRI will exercise all means at its disposal in order to make the most accurate determination of the kidnappers identity and disposition (are they who they claim they are – do they have the capability to carry out their threats?).
Conduct Liaison with Canadian and Host Governments. GRI is known to a large number of International Canadian diplomatic missions. Our experience in international security consulting routinely calls for our interaction with local and federal police forces in all our areas of operation. GRI can intercede, in conjunction with the client, insurers and other security representatives as appropriate, to influence government and police intentions to support a client’s corporate position.
Support Client’s Media and Crisis Response Plans. GRI can establish a reliable communications system, particularly in remote locations, such that the client is able to quickly and confidentially pass information to executive decision makers at corporate headquarters.
In the Event of a Kidnapping Incident - Conduct Negotiations. GRI can conduct, assist and/or evaluate the process of negotiations.
