Globe Risk Training Services
Globe Risk provides a full curriculum training service in support of client requirements across the entire spectrum of complex security needs. Our specialty is the development and delivery of high-level Security Support programs. Depending on client requirements, this may range in scope from an isolated presentation, a workshop on a full curriculum five week course. Globe Risk uses the SAT (Systematic Approach to Training) methodology in developing training packages and thus ensures the training remains focused and pointed directly at our client needs.
- we develop lectures, workshops, guided discussions and full curriculum packages as appropriate and will deliver these packages at the client site, in the field, or at our own training facility
- We are often called to "Train the Trainers" and will develop programs so that client staff can assume training in future
- Courses employ practical and/or theoretical performance checks to demonstrate knowledge and performance skills acquired and to ensure the standards agreed to with our clients are achieved
- Globe Risk offers initial and refresher training in a wide variety of security disciplines, grouped under three main areas:
Security Training and Exercises
Globe Risk is often called to identify solutions to the most challenging high end security problems. Invariably, training is a key component of the operational solutions accepted by our clients. Training programs ensure that our clients have trained personnel to enforce their security operations. As many companies have found out, a security infrastructure without appropriately trained personnel will not provide adequate protection. Procedures have to be in place and personnel must be trained in order to ensure a security system is effective. Globe Risk can provide this training. From Close Protection services for executive protection to rapid deployment team tactical training at a nuclear power plant, Globe Risk has done it all. And because we know our clients, listen to our clients, and value our clients, we design training packages that focus directly on needs. Our SAT (Systematic Approach to Training) standards ensure our clients see the product every step of the way and therefore know they are getting a high quality program in the most cost effective manner. Our clients understand the importance of training support in their security organizations and that without it, the chances for a security breach and resulting loss of property, or worse, will rise.
Some of the types of security training that Globe Risk has provided clients in the past are:
- Close Protection Training
- Armed Tactical Training at a nuclear installation
- Security Management Training
- Security Officer Training at all levels
- Bomb Threat Training
- Surveillance techniques
- Kidnap and Ransom Training (Specializing in international executive K and R)
- Evasive and Defensive Driving
Globe Risk also has extensive experience in executing practical exercises designed to validate a client's security organization. Depending on requirements, these exercises can range from isolated scenarios at access control points, or table top exercises designed to test the Command and Control function, to full scale exercises designed to validate all areas of a security infrastructure. Clients can view a true picture of the state of their security capabilities and work to improve any identified weaknesses. Our clients understand the tremendous deterrent effect a fully functioning, trained and tested security organization will have on any potential intruder and thus have a far greater confidence that all their assets are secured.

Crisis Management Training and Exercises
Crisis management training prepares your staff to deal with emergencies and ensures your response organization is structured appropriately to survive potentially catastrophic incidents, minimizing any potential threat to people and reducing the potential of property loss and business process interruption. Globe Risk prepares training programs based on the specific needs of the client and focuses on the core issues identified as deficiencies in the crisis management organization. This assessment process can be conducted by the client, or on request, by Globe Risk experts in consultation with client emergency management personnel.
Training can take the form of presentations and workshops, or classroom lectures and practical exercises. Drills and exercises are the most efficient methods of assessing your organization's crisis management functionality and readiness. In addition, they are often essential in ensuring that everyone in the response organization is comfortable with roles and responsibilities, and that the challenges of communication and coordination during an emergency event are addressed and resolved.
Globe Risk will plan, execute and analyze comprehensive practical drills designed to focus on client specific needs.
Exercise Conduct
- Drills are designed on a time scale to ensure maximum realism and training value
- assessment criteria is based on defined objectives and developed beforehand. All participants are given feedback opportunities to ensure accurate reconstruction of events and, therefore, lessons are learned in support of modifying procedures and improving processes
- Globe Risk provides a comprehensive report on all drills and exercises, promoting timely amendments to procedures and processes (if required) to enhance the emergency management organization.

Crisis Leadership
When an emergency response organization is activated due to a crisis that must be handled, it is not uncommon that the personnel identified to fill the roles within the organization are not trained to deal with the unique requirements imposed in extraordinary situations. These are normally people with different jobs every other day, who have a crisis management responsibility as a secondary duty. Good leaders and managers in the day to day functioning of an organization do not necessarily make good crisis response leaders. And leadership during an emergency is critical. Without it, the response effort is doomed to failure. In studying companies that have had to deal with emergency management situations in the past, the two primary reasons most companies do not survive later bankruptcy is poor emergency response preparedness and a lack of effective crisis leadership during the event.
In order to address these common problems, Globe Risk has developed a series of leadership presentations and workshops that focus directly on crisis leadership and crisis management. Supervisors, managers, and leaders in command will discuss the key issues in crisis leadership, the techniques to success and the various stressors that make this role one of the most challenging. This training allows those in decision making positions to be prepared and thus improve the company's chances at getting through the emergency event and survive.
